My name is Jimmy Zuniga, and I believe our children deserve the best education in the world. America’s education system has failed our children and our nation. We must make our children the most prepared individual in the world again and we can.
My mother was a teacher and emphasis on education was very important growing up. I believe we must instill respect and love in our nation and traditions again.
I moved to this wonderful country from Costa Rica when I was 17 years old and have been living here for 23 years. I value the opportunities our country offers. I believe in “One Nation, One Standard” - one standard for all, and that is, the highest standard.
Driven by a passion for education, I committed myself to learning and adapting to this great country despite the challenges of working hard while studying and learning a new language but with discipline and determination, I completed my higher education. I have a Law Degree (Juris Doctor) from the University of New Hampshire Law School and a bachelor’s degree in international business from DeSales University.
I am the President of an export business in the energy industry, which has allowed me to travel the world and see how our education system is behind in comparison to many countries (we are not in the first 20...).
I have lived in Hatboro since 2020 and I enjoy, the most, spending time with my two daughters, Eliana and Maite. I play soccer and enjoy an active and healthy lifestyle.
I agree with what current Secretary of Education, Linda McMahon, said: “American education can be the greatest in the world. It ought not to be corrupted by political ideologies, special interests, and unjust discrimination. Parents, teachers, and students alike deserve better.”
